Michael was a student of The Ohio State University and graduate of Franklin University. Mike attended Immaculate Conception and Bishop Watterson High School, where he was a record holding varsity athlete in football and basketball. Michael (“Mike”, “Dad”, “Dao”, “Big Mike”, “Whale”) grew up in Clintonville, of Columbus, Ohio. McGarity grandchildren, Connor Jacob and Mia Colleen McGarity brothers, Thomas (Tracie) McGarity, William (Michelle) McGarity sister, Mary Jo Wheeler many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Survived by his wife of 38 years, Lauren (Tishkoff) McGarity son, Trevor (Nicole) McGarity daughters, Sarah A. Preceded in death by parents, James and Mary McGarity brothers, James McGarity and Matthew McGarity sister, Patrice McGarity. McGarity, born May 27, 1946, passed away on Thursday Aug(at the age of 76).
